Kiko Eyeshadow Pencils - Daring Game Collection

Is there anything that I don't love from Kiko? I don't think so.
Every time that I go in there, I can't help but to fall in love with something new.
The quality is amazing and everything is so affordable, that you can't help but to try everything. I'm currently eyeing up there new foundation!

NOTD: Urban Purple by Rimmel

Love, love, love these Rimmel nail polishes. So creamy and opaque. Amazing brush. They dry fast and they're really long lasting on the nails.

This shade is the 402 - "Urban Purple", and it's a dark fuchsia colour, perfect for Autumn. This is one coat and it looks pretty amazing to me.
Definitely need to pick some more Rimmel nail polishes. Any suggestions? xx

(and yes, this is not my finest manicure, but I was running a bit late, so things got a little cray - don't judge!)

Current Lipgloss Faves

I have to tell you, I'm not really a lipgloss kinda of gal. I don't like the stickiness, I don't like the lack of pigmentation and I specially don't like the fact that they last zero time on my lips, but I've recently started to enjoy the youthful look they give you. Just load on the mascara, pinch your cheeks and put some gloss on and you're out the door looking fresh and cheerful.

NOTD: Cliché - Tal e Qual

Autumn is finally arrived and to me that means one thing - get crazy with the burgundies and the khakis!
This is another Cliché nail polish and if you're wondering - yes, I do own quite a bit of these, because they are so inexpensive and quite good!

As you can see, it's a very wearable khaki shade, because let's face it, some can look like you have diarrhoea in your nails. Not very attractive!
I love this shade and I also own one a little bit darker and more on the green side and that one is a definite statement in the Autumn / Winter.

If you have fair skin like me I do urge you to give these type of shades a try, you might fine that they look much nicer on your nails, than in the bottle.

Hope you like it!

My Top 5 Autumn Lipsticks

As a lipstick addict narrowing this down to a Top 5, was all sorts of crazy and I almost gave up and made a Top 6, but I held my ground and here it is my Top 5 amazing Autumn lipsticks.

Off course, you can wear them whenever the hell you feel like it ( I do!), but those burgundy shades, just scream Autumn to me and as soon as the Summer starts to fade, my red, plum and burgundy lipsticks make an appearance.

Apologies needed?

Sooooo... Long time, no see. I know, I know... I've been a terrible "blogger", but in my defence, I've been extremely busy and tired. For the past 3 weeks, I've been remodelling my whole kitchen and bathroom and as crazy as this sounds, we are the ones, putting everything together! So, my house is been a mess (check my instagram and you'll see the extreme mess in my living room)!

Other that, I've been in a weird place, when it comes to blogging. I hate that I don't have an awesome camera to take really good close ups of my makeup, because I would love to do some "What's in my face", types of posts. So, I've fallen out of love with blogging for a while, but as Uni is starting again, I feel like I should start blogging again, as this is my escape from everything and anything. My little corner, where I can talk all things makeup and I absolutely love it.

So, I hope you forgive my absence and let's get down to business!

Another mini Kiko Haul

Yeah, I caved again... In my defence, the new collection that just recently came out ("Daring Game") is just perfect. From the packaging, to the product itself. It's bloody amazing!

Essence My Skin Skincare

This is been a long time coming, I believe I've had them in my skincare drawer, for three to four years now! Crazy, crazy times - don't worry, I'm not actually crazy, so I have not been using them in a very long time. The truth is, I moved to some greener and more expensive pastures and never really finished this bad boys and cause I've got a hoarder complex, I never threw them away (for some unknown reason).

NOTD: Kiko 386 "Light Pastel Blue"

Aaaaand it's another nail polish from Kiko - I bet you didn't saw that one coming (I promise I'll change it up next week)!

So, excuse the chips, but I only remember to take the pictures, when things weren't as great (I'd say day number 3). Seriously don't know what's happening lately, but my nail polishes aren't looking as great as they did before. Might need to change my top coat or base coat again - figures.

Another pretty blue, I know! This one is more the colour of denim jeans, I'd say. As always Kiko bright nail polishes do not disappoint. Opaque in one coat (although I applied two, to be less streaky) - doesn't get much better than that.
Been all over the blues, for this Summer. I just think they look freankin' amazing on the nails! Have you got some blue on your nails too? Let me know (so I can buy more nail polish - cause apparently I don't have enough)!

You can find this little guy here for 1,90€ at the moment!

A Vinegar For Your Hair?

As far as my hair goes, I'm really proud of myself. I've never really cared that much about it, I just shampooed and conditioned, but that was about it. Slowly and painfully, I started adding more and more products to my hair routine, that I feel that really make a difference.

50 Shades of Grey - The Movie

So, this is something a little different today. After watching the trailer and kinda going cray cray on twitter about it, I've decided that I wanted to share it in here too.

I've read the books - and yes I love all three of them. I don't care if it's soft porn, if it's girl porn or whatever you wanna call it... I like the story behind it and I enjoyed the evolution of the characters. Yes, it was a ton of kinky sex, that an average person will never have, but man, oh man! I would loveeeee to get a Mr. Grey for myself (sorry babe! Still love you!).

I haven't bought the books, but after watching that damn trailer for 6 times already, I feel the need to reread the whole trilogy again - yes, I'm one of those people!

As far as the casting for the movie goes, I think I'm a little disappointed that Mr. Grey is not as broody, as mysterious and as sexy as I imagined - I may, or may not have the secret desire do see Ian Somerhalder play the part of Mr. Grey, but I guess that ship has sailed (sheds a tear).

But can we just talk about the remake of "Crazy in Love"?! Girl, you talk about a sexy song!

So, I will be anxiously awaiting for February to come, but for now, I'm gonna stick to the trailer (yes, I'm obsessed, I'm aware of that).

I'm gonna shut up now - just go and watch it!

It's a No: Kiko Photo-Age Sunscreen Cream SPF 30

I'm gonna start by saying, that I don't like to throw stuff away, but this just made me change my mind. I did give it a more than one fair try, but this is just a no, no for me.

NOTD - Kiko's Venus Pink

As much as I love Kiko nail polishes, some of their colours, just don't do it for me. It's that damn formula! It changes from the brighter and bolder to the pastel and nude ones. So annoying...

Well, I love the colour of Venus Pink (506, if you're buying it in a store). It's a barbie, bubblegum pink, that looks freankin' amazing on the nails. This one, as you can probably tell, made those weird bubbles underneath the nail polish, which is quite weird, because I let things dry completely, but oh well...

You can find it here for 1,90€ at the moment!

Try these: Kiko Long Lasting Eyeshadows

Ok, so I guess I'm gonna start by saying, that I was never into cream eyeshadows. Being an oily girl, let just say that I stayed as far away as possible of everything cream, but things do change and I learn to accept my oily skin, as well as, enjoying some natural glow.

NOTD - Blush by Kiko

I'm gonna start my apologising for the awful, awful state of my cuticles, but honestly I just couldn't be bothered lately. Besides I don't have any awesome cuticle oil at the moment and I really don't like to cut them or push them in, I just leave them be (I would like to think of my cuticles as free spirits). So if you have a cuticle oil that you're loving at the moment, please let me know!

Moving on to the nails.
I was really on the hunt for that perfect nude nail polish, that would look good with my super pale skin, without making me look like a character from the Walking Dead.
So, while I was browsing the Kiko store, I found this little cutie, the "507 - Blush".  It's this nude peachy colour, that looks amazing on anyone with a bit of a tan. It doesn't look half bad on me, but it's still not my perfect shade.

As far as the formula goes, I didn't like it as much as I do my other Kiko nail polishes (385, I'm looking at you!). It's very patchy and it chips very easily. So, not too impressed with that.

You can find it here for 1,90€ at the moment.

Vitamine E goodness? Yes, please!

So, by now you've all realised that I'm a bit obsessed with The Bodyshop.

Pore Strips Addiction

I don't think I would ever enjoy ripping those pore strips from my nose, cause let me tell you, that shit hurts like a mother!
But I get this very satisfying feeling, when I see all the gunk that used to be in my nose, now on the stripy thing.
They are very easy to use. You just pore water on your nose and stick it in there. You let it be, until you feel the strip hard and then you just rip it off (or if you're like me, you spend like half an hour trying to take that thing without crying - true story).
I usually do it once a week, maybe twice if I feel like my pores are needing a little help.
I believe I' addicted to them. It's so easy to use and you see immediate results! I can't go a week without using it.

I get mine in Continente, about 2,99€ for 8 strips. I highly recommend them!

May Beauty Favorites 2014

My first ever Favorites video!
This month, I've been loving quite a lot of my recent purchases.

Kiko Exotic Shine Lipstick

By now you all know, that I'm completely obsessed with the new Kiko limited edition - Life in Rio.
I want it all!
So, first things first. That packaging... It's gold, it's shiny, it's sleek. Looks so much more expensive than it was and I love it!

I got the shade "06 - Voluptuous Pink" and it's this gorgeous bright pink. It's a warm pink so you ain't gonna look like a plastic barbie, don't you worry. It's such a unique shade and although I have a tonne of lipstick, I didn't have a colour that looked remotely like this.

It glides on like a dream, it's creamy but it does give you a glossy effect, so no matte finish over here as the name already suggests. It doesn't dry or cling to your lips, so that's a plus for me.
The one thing that sets it apart for me is the scent. It's soooooo good! It's this tropical fruits scent (it doesn't linger on the lips, don't worry). I believe it's passion fruit, but what do I know, really?!

I want all the shades, because they are all gorgeous. Definitely gonna try and get my hands on some more!
You can find it here for 7,50€. I suggest you hurry up, because they are going fast!

The lip balm I can't live without!

I was always one of those girls that didn't give a damn about lip balm. Lip balm, was that foreign thing that sometimes you used when you were sick with a cold and had some sore lips. Didn't used, didn't care.
I then started wearing it, just because it was a girl thing at the time, you know? Back in the day, when we all use to wear a pinky lip balm, that did absolutly nothing for your lips, but it did give you that smidge of colour.

Then youtube and beauty blogs came along and I started getting more and more into it. I started hearing everybody and their momma talk about the Nivea lip butters (Nivea and Labello are virtually the same thing). So when I saw this in my local supermarket, I snatched it up and I've been using it religiously every single day, before bed.
And I have to say, I've noticed a massive, massive diference. If for some reason I forget to use it, in the morning my lips will be dry and unconfortable (I believe they are addicted to this stuff). I just slatter this on and I'm good to go. The only downside is that, it's in a damn pot... I hate getting my fingers dirty and it's not very convienient during the day. So this is strickly a product to incorporate in my night routine. But other than that it's amazing. I do wish the ones with flavour would come to Portugal, but since that hasn't happened yet, we have to stick with this one for now.

So if you have dry lips or you just want a good lip balm, give this one a try. It's cheap (around 3,50€), lasts forever and it's oh so good!

Corine de Farme Micelar Water

I'm gonna start by saying that I'm not really a fun of this.
I started using as a makeup remover, but (although it smells good) it doesn't remove all of my makeup (especially not waterproof) and it's quite drying on the skin, which is odd, because it says it's for dry skin.

What I'm currently using it for, is as my tonic. Before applying my day cream, I put this in a cotton pad and clean my face with it., it's much better that way, for me at least. Since I have oily skin, this helps drying it a bit, before I have to apply my makeup.

And the pump... Oh that pump! It splashes everywhere! It's almost impossible to get the product out, without you splashing some on your shirt or floor.

One thing is sure. I will not buy this again. It's cheap (around 5/6€) and it has a lot of product, but it's not a micelar water for me, I much prefer the Garnier one.

Have you tried it, yet? Does it work on you?

Dove Purely Pampering Hand Cream

So lately, I've been taking better care of my hands. I was never one to moisturise my hands and nails everyday. It was such a faff! Then the hands would get all sticky for what seemed like forever and let me tell you something, I absolutely hate greasy things. I can't stand the feeling of it (I'm slowly getting better, recently I've even added a cleansing oil and a serum in oil to my beauty routine - crazy times, people!). So, I decided it was time to start taking better care of my hands, specially my cuticles (soooooo dry!).

I saw this little guy on sale and decided to give him a chance.
Oh my lord - it smells divine! This warm vanilla scent. I love it!
As far as greasy feelings goes, it has none. It's a very indulging hand cream. You rub it for a few seconds and it's gone. Your hands are left feeling soft and smelling amazing.
Mine is almost dying on me, so I already got another.
Definitely recommend this one, although I really one try the Pitaya one, from Boticário!

You can get it in any supermarket, often on some sort of offer.
Hope you liked it and do give it a sniff, I'm sure you won't regret it!

Kiko new highlighter - Pearly Rock

Another Kiko product.
I'm getting so into Kiko makeup, lately. It's so affordable and all the products have amazing quality, that it's impossible to pass them up - if you're a crazy obsessed makeup freak.
This time I'm talking about their most recent highlighter. I've been really getting into highlighting and contouring and I love popping a bit of shimmery goodness on the high points of my face, so I decided to pick this bad boy up.

GRWM - Wearable Orange

My second youtube video is life!
Ah! So excited.
This time it's a quick "get ready with me" and I really hope you like. I decided to incorporate some orangy tones in my eyeshadow and in my lipstick, but nothing too scary, everything is really wearable in a day-to-day basis. It's a look I would wear to go shopping or maybe have a lunch with the family.
Tell me your thoughts on it!

Mini Bodyshop Haul

And more shopping...
I swear I cannot resist a good deal.
I really wanted some bits and bobs, from the Bodyshop, but they were a bit on the expensive side, so I kinda put off buying them, but like faith, I went to my local Primark and they also have a Bodyshop store in the mall and I said to the BF - " Let me just smell the new body butter scent" - and then bamn! Huge deal going on. They were having 3 for 2 in the whole store and also had a + 10% discount in the LYB card.
I just couldn't pass that up!

NOTD - Essence "That's What I Mint"

Love me some mint green nail polish. It's such a cool shade. So Spring appropriate. Absolutely love it!
I have a few Essence nail polish and I really like them. They have a pretty good quality for the price. A good thick brush - two swipes and you're done - and they dry in reasonable amount of time.
They last a good 3/4 days on my nails, using of course a top and base coat.
It's pretty opaque with one coat, but I normally use two, to get rid of any possible streaks.
They do claim that they have a gel-shine effect, but honestly they are as shinny as my Kiko nail polishes, so nothing too fancy there.

The packaging it's pretty cute and they are always coming out with new colours, so go and take a look at some of them and tell me what you think!

You can find it here for 1,99€.

So... I finally did it.
I uploaded my first ever Youtube video. I'm so nervous and I would love to hear your feedback. Tell me what you think and if you have any ideas for future videos.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar

And here it is lady's and gentlemen. The one and only - Too Faced Chocolate Bar!
It's beautiful, it's smells amazing, and it looks like a chocolate bar. Seriously, what more can you want from a makeup palette?!
I've been so in love with this thing. For the past two weeks, it's all that I've used for my eye looks.
The shadows are gorgeous and they all blend amazingly well.
If you're a neutral lover, go get you some of this.

The Primark Lipstick

Yap. A Primark lipstick. I bet you're thinking - is the chick gone nuts?!
No ladies and gentlemen. This is a Primark lipstick and it's actually not that bad!

NOTD - 359 by Kiko

I love this peachy shade for Spring / Summer time. It's so fun and looks so flattering on the nails.
This picture was taken after 3 days, so there is some wear on the tips, but it lasts a good time on my nails and I absolutely love the formula and the little brush of Kiko's nail polishes. It's so easy to apply!
I also have a similar shade from Kiko, which is a darker peach and I love that one on the nails, as well.
So if you're into peachy shades at the moment, I suggest you give a look at the Kiko nail polishes.
They do last a while on the nails, especially if you use a good base and top coat.

You can find it here for 3,90€ - Kiko's always doing some sort of promotion on the nail polish, so keep your eyes out for it.

Monday, 14 April 2014

Elf cream blush

I'm so in loveeeee with these little guys for Spring / Summer time.

Thursday, 10 April 2014

Elf under eye concealer & highlighter

As far as under eye concealers go, I like mine to be lighter than my skin tone, long lasting, not to cakey and, if possible, something that can give me that glowy look with minimal work. So this product is not my perfect concealer, it doesn't even come close to that.

Monday, 7 April 2014

women's health Portugal

For those of you (Portuguese people), who still don't know, they came out with the first edition of Women's Health in Portugal. It has the lovely Cláudia Vieira on the cover (I would give an arm and a leg to look like that!).
I already bought mine and I really liked it!
It covers everything from fashion, shoes, makeup, healthy recipes and a great workout routine.
So if you are interested in a few advices on those things, I suggest you take a peak.

It's priced at 3,50€, which I think it's pretty reasonable.
Hope you like it, guys!

NOTD - êxito by cliché

First of all, excuse the broken nail - we've all been there, I'm afraid.
Second, look at this colour...
I'm in love with Spring "everything" at the moment and extremely excited to leave the burgundies and dark greys behind and focus on the pastels and bright pinks.

It's a very cheap nail polish so don't expect any miracles. It will chip like a mother if you don't use a good old top coat - at the moment I'm using the Sally Hansen Mega Shine (will discuss it in another post).
That being said, it's still a good nail polish for the price (1€) and you can't go wrong with a bright, fun pink.

Tuesday, 11 March 2014

O Boticario's Liquid highlighter

First of all, lets all take a moment to appreciate how beautiful this highlighter is!
It's a very very light pinky champagne, that looks amazing on my pale skin and rosy cheeks. I just put a dot of it in the back of my hand and I go in with my trusty elf small stipple brush, and dot this on all of the high points of my face and then blend until it looks like I'm glowing from within (cheesy I know).

Kiko twinkle eye pencil

Up to this moment I've never tried Kiko eyeliners and I must say I was missing out big time!
These are creamy , pigmented and oh so pretty! (excuse the chip on the nail)

Kiko smart lipsticks

Sooooo.... I've been a little naughty and I bought a few bits and bobs from Kiko.

Real Techniques duo fiber collection

For a while now, I've been using my new Real Techniques duo fiber brushes.
They are absolutely amazing and I can't seem to shut up about them.

Rimmel scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal

For almost 1 year and a half now, I've been using my trusty MUA eye liner in Snow White to highlight my waterline, so that it gives the illusion that I'm actually awake (which most days- especially in the morning - it's just not happening).

Although I really like, my MUA liner, I always felt like it came off too easily and in could be harsh sometimes - cause that thing is full on white.
So I was on a hunt for something a little less intimidating and a bit more beige. That's when all the buzz around these Rimmel eye liners started. And so, as a true makeup junkie, I just knew I had to have some.
It took me awhile though, but I managed to get my hands on two of them - Nude (005) and Taupe (004).

Friday, 24 January 2014

Catrice quick dry & high shine

So, as you may have noticed by now, I really like nail polish. Like really, really. Like I don't even know, where in the world I'm gonna keep the new bottles of nail polish that I will eventually buy (yup, I'm hoarder - sue me!).

Tuesday, 21 January 2014

Review - Essence's eye makeup remover (waterproof)

I've had this eye makeup remover for a while now and as you can probably see, I barely touched it.
It's very budget friendly and it does remove your eye makeup, but it's so oily and it burns my eyes like nobodies business.

Tuesday, 14 January 2014

Nail of the day - Açúcar by Cliché

I'm in love with this nail polish!
White is such a Winter colour and at the same time it's so chic and feminine (I mean, depending on the white, we don't want any white that resembles the correction pen we used to put on our nails in primary school. - oh the memories!).

I used a top coat and a base coat, both by Cliché and I put three coats of it on, so it was perfectly opaque.
It lasted about a week on my nails, which is kinda of a miracle.
Definitely, gonna use this one a lot in the colder months to come and even in Spring too.

So, what are your thoughts on white nail polish? Love it or hate it? Let me know!
